Job Description
This role is with a Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A affiliate company, Nan Ya Plastics Corporation, America also located on site at 9 Peach Tree Hill Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. This position is not with Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A.
Duties:
- Receive all incoming invoices and route for approval where needed
- Sort, code and match invoices for accounting entry
- Maintain payment files
- Respond to all vendor inquiries
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payment
- Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any issues related to accounts payable
- Provide support for audits and other financial reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Work on site in the corporate headquarter office located in Livingston NJ
