Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic illnesses within the rehabilitation center setting.
• Create individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of methods, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of assistive equipment to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Implement and monitor treatment regimens, documenting progress meticulously through our electronic health record systems to track patient outcomes and adjust therapies as needed.
• Hold regular consultations with patients and their families to explain treatment processes, adjust goals, and provide education on long-term health management.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, techniques, and technologies in physical therapy through continuous professional development and collaboration with peers.
• Lead educational sessions for patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members on best practices in physical therapy and the use of assistive devices.
• Participate in departmental meetings to enhance service quality and discuss patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility serves a broad spectrum of patients across all ages, from pediatric to geriatric populations. You'll encounter a variety of diagnoses, including sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, neurological disorders, and age-related mobility challenges. Our therapeutic objective is to empower our patients to achieve optimal recovery and independence, ensuring they receive tailored and compassionate care throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Florida.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment while delivering patient-centered care.
• Basic computer skills, particularly in word processing and electronic health records management.

Preferred Experience
