Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility is designed to provide a nurturing and professional environment conducive to patient healing and therapist collaboration. As part of our team, you will work closely with one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) and two other Physical Therapists, facilitating a supportive atmosphere that promotes learning, mentorship, and shared expertise. The role is primarily onsite, allowing for direct interaction with patients and coworkers, creating a cohesive treatment experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Manage a defined patient caseload, typically treating one patient per hour to ensure quality care and attention.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and pain management techniques.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously using our EMR software, primarily WebPT, to maintain accurate and timely records.
• Encourage patients through their rehabilitation process, helping them set realistic goals and celebrate their improvements.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as orthopedic surgeons and occupational therapists, to create comprehensive patient care strategies.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, exercises, and lifestyle changes that foster recovery and enhance quality of life.
• Conduct follow-up evaluations to assess the efficacy of treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our clientele includes a diverse range of individuals, from athletes aiming to return to peak performance to older adults seeking to regain independence in daily activities. You will tailor treatments to meet the unique needs of each patient, focusing on boosting their physical functionality and safety.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated professional integrity with no history of board or disciplinary action.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and exercise course design.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills essential for patient rapport and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in utilizing EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient management.
• Experience designing physical therapy plans that include exercise protocols tailored to specific patient goals.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
