Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Role

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, allowing for direct patient interaction in a home care setting. You will work closely with a small team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, creating a collaborative environment focused on coordinated care. The work setting is welcoming and designed to facilitate optimal patient engagement and treatment effectiveness. Your work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured routine to effectively manage patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions and movement capabilities to establish baseline assessments.
• Design and execute personalized treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and the individual goals of each patient, ensuring all interventions are tailored to promote recovery.
• Utilize a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, specific exercise prescriptions, and various modalities, to address patient needs effectively.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, strategies for injury prevention, and necessary lifestyle modifications to support recovery.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to adapt to changing patient conditions and improving outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with all regulatory standards, ensuring a commitment to confidentiality and quality care.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care strategies.
• Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy methodologies and evidence-based practices to continuously enhance treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient demographic includes individuals experiencing a range of orthopedic conditions, from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic musculoskeletal issues. You will engage with a diverse clientele, addressing various needs while focusing on restoring mobility and improving functional capacity. The supportive nature of our practice environment enables you to effectively build rapport with patients, fostering trust and encouraging active participation in their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, and possess a current Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of New Jersey.
• Completion of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited program is highly desirable.
• Strong foundational knowledge in orthopedic physical therapy practices, with a keen interest in musculoskeletal medicine.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient care setting is preferable but not mandatory. Candidates with a strong desire to grow within orthopedic specialties will be considered favorably.
• Prior experience working with diverse patient populations and familiarity with rehabilitation techniques in home care settings will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance.
