Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients, including reviewing extensive histories, performing specific assessments, and documenting findings while providing clear explanations of the evaluation results and proposed treatment plans to both patients and their families.
• Implementing individualized treatment protocols that respect evidence-based practices, addressing each patient's unique presentations and needs within the evolving healthcare environment.
• Ongoing consultation with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care, while monitoring and adapting treatment plans based on patient progress and any documented changes in condition.
• Coordinating effective discharge planning and ensuring adequate follow-up, including the documentation of patient care activities using the latest electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Managing your schedule efficiently and meeting productivity goals while actively participating in community outreach and marketing initiatives, aimed at enhancing patient access and care quality.
• Contributing to departmental objectives and compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring best practices in patient care.
• Pursuing continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and competency, as well as mentoring students in clinical settings as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will provide vital therapeutic services to a diverse array of patients dealing with various orthopedic conditions. Our patient population includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. Your goal will be to facilitate their rehabilitation journey, improve mobility, enhance function, and promote overall well-being through tailored therapy programs.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Current state licensure as mandated for practicing in New Jersey.
• American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
• While prior work experience is not mandatory, a positive attitude and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential.

Preferred Experience

Although prior experience is not required, candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic settings will be favored. Exposure to contemporary treatment methodologies and familiarity with electronic health record systems will be beneficial.
