Work Environment

This role is set in a vibrant outpatient office, which offers a collaborative and patient-focused atmosphere. As a member of our team, you will work closely with fellow healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Our facility is equipped with advanced technology and therapy tools, enabling you to implement the latest treatment protocols effectively. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with a 40-hour shift, providing a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of each patient referred by their physician, establishing a personalized treatment plan that aligns with their specific needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to enhance patient mobility and address conditions such as orthopedics, sports injuries, pediatrics, and neurological disorders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every interaction, ensuring that patients feel supported and valued.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and achieve optimal health outcomes.
• Provide direct therapeutic care, both in the clinic and, when necessary, at patients' homes, utilizing effective techniques that promote functional improvements consistent with the physician's plan of care.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on treatment plans, self-management strategies, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health.
• Meet minimum utilization goals and contribute to the overall performance and success of the clinical team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position will be on patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, however, you will also encounter a diverse range of cases requiring tailored treatment approaches. You will work with various populations, including pediatric, adult, and senior patients, allowing for a rich and varied professional experience. Each interaction will deepen your understanding of patient needs and enhance your ability to provide targeted, meaningful interventions that facilitate their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate degree (DPT) being highly preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in the field of physical therapy, particularly in orthopedic practice.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in computer and word processing skills to manage electronic health records and documentation efficiently.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Familiarity with current physical therapy methodologies and treatment protocols.
• Previous involvement in community outreach or wellness programs.
