Staff Accountant

Smart Source is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in West Palm Beach. Smart Source is currently transitioning ERP systems from Demand Bridge to Microsoft Business Central. Any experience in either system is preferred but not required. The project will span several months but allows the candidate to acquaint themselves with the major processes that drive the financial statements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Summary Billing Daily deposit preparation Bank reconciliations Posting credit card transactions for certain customers New Customer account setup Billing corrections Assist in maintenance of documented system of accounting policies and procedures Assist in month end account reconciliations Monthly inventory reconciliations Assist in providing supporting documentation for year end audits Willingness to learn more complex formulas and comparisons is required HIGH LEVEL COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Detail oriented; strong at multitasking; general grasp of accounting processes (Sales/AR/Cash Receipts and Inventory/AP/Cash Disbursements) Good communication skills; will work with employees at the local office and satellite offices across the country Comfortable assisting the Director of Accounting Operations with high level tasks and lower level tasks ("roll up your sleeves" type) Team player and willing to help on whatever issues pop up Experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel) Experience with Demand Bridge is a plus (used for supply chain management and accounting function) COMPENSATION Company offers a contributory 401(k) plan and healthcare plan Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
