Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement tailored physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and optimizing muscle function in accordance with the prescribed plan of care.
• Oversee the activities of physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective delivery of therapy services and maintenance of the clinical standards established by Rothman Therapeutics.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical capabilities by applying diagnostic assessments and adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing progress.
• Assess home environments for rehabilitation suitability and recommend modifications that promote patient independence and well-being.
• Deliver a range of therapeutic services, including manual exercises, traction, and massage, while also educating clients on their rehabilitation programs and progress.
• Monitor patient health, document changes in condition and therapy responses, and collaborate closely with referring physicians and case managers regarding treatment adjustments.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, including evaluations and progress notes, while fulfilling documentation requirements in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to provide insights on patient evaluations and contribute to comprehensive care planning.
• Train and guide clients and families in the use of physical therapy equipment and methods to enhance their recovery journey.
• Complete functional assessments and make recommendations regarding the plan of care based on utilization of community resources.
• Fulfill other responsibilities and duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of Rothman Therapeutics.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses that require rehabilitation services. Our patient population ranges from post-operative orthopedic cases to geriatric individuals needing support to maintain their mobility and independence. You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients from varied backgrounds, ensuring personalized care that aligns with their individual rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, with a clean record free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and a deep understanding of therapeutic modalities.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, for accurate documentation and reporting.
• A commitment to staying informed on current physical therapy practices evidenced by a strong understanding of evidence-based techniques.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation facility or home health care setting is strongly preferred but not required.
• Proven ability to develop successful exercise programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of patients.
• Experience in collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team to manage and improve patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
