Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct field-based psychiatric evaluations in collaboration with law enforcement to assess and determine the necessity for 5150/5585 involuntary detention applications.

• Develop and implement crisis intervention plans for clients experiencing mental health episodes, ensuring that appropriate short-term counseling is provided to mitigate crises effectively.
\n
• Train police staff on strategies for managing mental health episodes, emphasizing de-escalation techniques to minimize the need for force and promote a supportive environment.
\n
• Manage case coordination with third-party entities, such as the Department of Mental Health and psychiatric facilities, while closely monitoring patient status through follow-up communications.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and meticulous records of all client interactions and case notes, ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
\n
• Collaboratively communicate with hospital staff, psychiatrists, and law enforcement, fostering partnerships that enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

• Accompany law enforcement during mental health-related emergency responses to provide real-time support and intervention.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on individuals experiencing mental health crises within the community and those under arrest. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring these vulnerable populations receive immediate support and access to necessary resources, reinforcing their recovery journey and contributing to overall community health.

Qualifications\n

• A valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential.

• A Bachelor's Degree is required; additional relevant education will be considered an asset.

• Exceptional attention to detail paired with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients, law enforcement, and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous clinical experience, particularly in psychiatric settings, is strongly preferred.

• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) are advantageous.

Peaceful Harmony, Inc. offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 122,000 annually for full-time employment.
