Although this role typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility is necessary to meet patients' needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify individual patient needs, crafting tailored treatment plans that target specific goals.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy in individual and group therapy settings.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups that foster community engagement and provide clients with coping strategies.

• Collaborate extensively with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists and psychologists—to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention services, supporting patients in distress during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients on their mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources that enhance their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of client information.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education sessions to enhance personal and organizational growth.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Core Life, you will work closely with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, and substance abuse issues. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Registered (LCSW-R) in New York.

• Deep understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-based treatment techniques.

• Proven experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and formulating effective treatment plans.
