Ideal Background and Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of college credits from an accredited institution, OR
• Associate degree or higher, OR
• Passing score on an approved academic assessment (e.g., ParaPro, ParaPathways, The Master Teacher), OR fulfillment of competencies per the approved grid.
• PCA certificate required (or willingness to complete the process—takes less than an hour and is provided free).
• Documentation of educational credentials and certificate must be ready to present.
• Availability to attend a mandatory orientation, conducted only on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m.
• Experience as a Paraprofessional or Educational Assistant, particularly in special education, is highly valued.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, hands-on support to students in classroom and small group settings within the focus program.
• Assist teachers in implementing individualized educational strategies.
• Offer daily encouragement and practical help to students, fostering independence and growth.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere.
• Participate in team meetings and support collaborative approaches to education.
