Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations which include detailed assessments and analysis of patients' medical histories to formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment objectives to patients and their families, involving them actively in the goal-setting process.
• Implement appropriate treatment protocols using evidence-based practices, regularly adjusting plans according to patients' responses and progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care and promptly address any changes in patients' conditions.
• Manage discharge planning effectively by ensuring patients receive appropriate follow-up care, documenting care plans and progress in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain a consistent productivity level through effective time management, participating in team activities and contributing to achieving departmental objectives.
• Engage in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote the services of Blooms Physical Therapy.
• Take a proactive approach to your professional development by pursuing continuing education opportunities and mentoring students as a clinical instructor.
• Enhance patient experiences by being flexible and adapting to the ever-evolving healthcare landscape.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist at Blooms Physical Therapy, you will primarily work with a diverse client base, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures that you will collaborate closely with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and rehabilitation nurses, providing holistic care that addresses both physical and emotional aspects of recovery.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia, as well as any additional state licensure required for specific locations.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous experience in outpatient physical therapy is a plus.
