Work Environment

Located in the heart of Fredericksburg, our Rehabilitation Center offers a comfortable and welcoming environment for both staff and patients. As a member of our team, you will work closely with two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA) in an onsite capacity, collaborating to deliver high-quality therapy services. The center is open Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and our work culture fosters teamwork, innovation, and respect for patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with patients to assess their specific needs, creating and executing comprehensive treatment plans based on each individual's therapy goals.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour, focusing on delivering customized, evidence-based treatment to maximize recovery and mobility.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including hands-on manual therapy, strengthening exercises, and mobility re-education, to address orthopedic issues effectively.
• Develop fitness and wellness programs tailored to enhance strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance, supporting patients in achieving their health aspirations.
• Document patient progress meticulously through electronic medical records (EMR) using systems like WebPT, ensuring accurate tracking of treatment outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments, adjusting plans as necessary in consultation with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their therapy sessions, instilling confidence and promoting self-efficacy in managing their health.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal recovery experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, equipping them with the tools and confidence needed to reclaim their mobility and engage in daily activities. Your role will significantly impact patient outcomes, as you empower clients to minimize reliance on medications and surgery, focusing instead on comprehensive rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop and implement effective exercise programs.
• Experience using EMR software such as WebPT for efficient patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable skill in a variety of treatment methodologies and a patient-centered approach to care.

Compensation and Benefits
