Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients during initial appointments to determine their mental health status through interviews and standardized tools.

• Create personalized, actionable treatment plans that address the specific needs of each client, incorporating evidence-based therapies and adapting approaches as necessary.

• Provide ongoing individual and group therapy sessions, offering clients practical tools and coping strategies to manage their mental health challenges effectively.

• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans based on their development, feedback, and evolving needs.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, ensuring holistic care for clients through strong referral networks.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in EHR systems, including session notes, treatment progress, and assessments to support continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a broad spectrum of clients experiencing various mental health issues, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, substance abuse disorders, and eating disorders. Your cultural competence will be essential in ensuring that therapy approaches are meaningful and relevant to each client’s unique background and experiences, fostering trust and openness in the therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas is mandatory.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience providing mental health counseling and therapy.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and the ability to implement culturally responsive and inclusive therapy practices.

• Proficiency in electronic health records systems and a working knowledge of various computer applications relevant to telehealth.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines in therapeutic settings.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy is preferred, along with a variety of therapeutic methods tailored to diverse populations.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the capability to remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly in challenging client situations.

• Proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds, utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
