Account Executive

The Account Executive meets and exceeds local and national sales goals by selling Clear Channel Outdoor’s inventory to qualified advertisers and developing new business through direct customer outreach and high-level agency contacts. Responsibilities Drive revenue goal attainment on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Prospect and develop new customer relationships, persuasively communicating strategies for meeting customer needs. Conduct outside sales activities, including obtaining orders and/or contracts while away from the company’s place(s) of business and from a home office, if applicable. Ensure customer satisfaction by facilitating all aspects of the customer's account in cooperation with creative, operations, marketing, and finance staff. Determine project pricing based on guidelines from management and negotiate fees or services with clients with management approval. Oversee projects from start to finish and ensure client satisfaction. Deliver proof of performance (POP) to clients. Accompany clients on market tours to show outdoor media sites. Communicate and coordinate with Ad Ops and other internal departments. Complete other duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience. Minimum two (2) years of sales experience or other relevant work experience preferred. Demonstrated track record of business‑to‑business and progressive sales experience strongly preferred. Media sales experience preferred. Skills and Competencies Strong organizational and time‑management skills and detail oriented. Skilled in working closely with customers to develop and cultivate client relationships to grow accounts. Experience in consultative or needs‑based selling techniques. Collaborative and professional style with the objective of building strong relationships with diverse customer groups and vendors. Self‑starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrated flexibility. Ability to multi‑task and stay calm under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including delivering effective presentations. Ability to complete required math calculations (e.g., multiply, divide, rate, ratio, percent, interpret bar graphs). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and social media platforms. Account Management: Building long‑term, value‑based relationships with accounts, developing business and maximizing revenue while reducing time and costs in managing them. Fostering Communication: Listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences and promoting dialogue. Initiative: Dealing with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing opportunities that arise. Managing the Sales Process: Following the organization’s sales methodology to achieve sales targets. Negotiating: Seeking to resolve different perspectives or matters of dispute by discovering shared interests and finding mutually acceptable solutions. Networking: Establishing, sustaining, and fostering professional contacts to build, enhance, and connect networks for work purposes. Presentation: Preparing and delivering presentations in a variety of formal and informal settings, engaging the audience and managing logistical components. Physical Demands The demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Attendance at weekly/monthly meetings is required. This position primarily involves working in an office environment and in the field, making sales calls, and servicing existing accounts. Employees must be able to lift and move items up to 15 pounds and see written documents and computer screens, adjusting focus as necessary. Other Requirements Travel outside of the office at least 50% of the time for meetings and industry events. Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
