Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their levels of strength, coordination, and functionality.
• Creating and implementing individualized therapy treatment plans that aim to prevent disability and restore maximum performance based on the patient's capabilities.
• Providing direct physical therapy services as prescribed by the physician, including hands-on manual therapy techniques and instruction in therapeutic exercises.
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting outcomes, adjustments, and responses to therapy in clinical records.
• Collaborating effectively with Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring that interventions align with the established care plan and providing guidance and supervision as needed.
• Engaging with patients and their families to educate them about their therapy programs, enhancing their understanding and adherence to the treatment regimen.
• Identifying and recommending modifications to the home environment to support rehabilitation and increase autonomy.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to collectively evaluate and refine patient treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve a varied patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and other physical impairments. You will provide therapy in a one-on-one setting, allowing you to build rapport and trust with each patient. Your expertise will not only enhance mobility but also empower patients to achieve greater independence in daily life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a licensed Physical Therapist who possesses the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; candidates holding a Doctorate in Physical Therapy will be prioritized.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an acute care or home care setting.
• Active Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Florida and current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and a passion for enhancing patient care through quality practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

While the primary qualifications revolve around licensure and clinical experience, additional preferences may include familiarity with electronic health record systems, experience in geriatric care, and a creative approach to problem-solving in therapy settings.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
