Tough Mind Physical Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Physical Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic center located in Cape Coral, Florida. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the overall well-being of our patients by evaluating their needs, developing tailored treatment plans, and implementing specialized therapies to foster recovery and mobility. Work Environment

You will work on-site at our outpatient office, which is designed to promote a collaborative and therapeutic environment. With a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will engage with patients in a bright, welcoming facility equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and resources necessary for effective treatment. Our outpatient setting allows for personalized care, building relationships with patients and facilitating their rehabilitation journeys.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Tough Mind, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of critical tasks, including:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients with functional limitations, disabilities, or post-operative needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's evaluation findings, ensuring quality care that evolves in conjunction with patient progress.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, recognizing when further consultation or modifications to treatment plans are necessary.
• Documenting all aspects of patient care, including evaluations, treatment protocols, progress notes, and discharge summaries to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and provide clarity to ongoing patient care.
• Engaging in proactive discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure smooth transitions for patients as they progress beyond therapy services.
• Contributing to internal team meetings to share insights, barriers to care access, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient population will primarily consist of individuals with orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation needs, and chronic pain issues. You will be expected to provide personalized, evidence-based care to enhance their functional abilities and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Active state licensure as a DPT in Florida.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience is required, candidates with experience in diverse therapeutic modalities or specialized certifications may be preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and a commitment to continued professional development will greatly enhance your performance in this role.
