Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students across El Dorado County for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers the chance to make a significant impact in a variety of settings, from El Dorado Hills to Camino, with the potential for itinerant assignments among multiple sites throughout the district.
Ideal candidates will bring a flexible mindset and passion for helping students achieve communication milestones. Since this district covers a broad region, an openness to travel between school locations and adapt to changing assignments will be valuable.
Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in school-based settings desired
- Familiarity with SEIS and experience working in California schools highly advantageous
- Will consider Clinical Fellows (CFs) and SLPAs, with onsite SLP supervision provided
- Willingness to manage mild to moderately severe caseloads; occasional severe cases possible
- Must be onsite; teletherapy is not an option for this role
- Comfort with travel assignments and working in various school environments
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to adapt to new settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to students on individualized education plans
- Complete assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families
- Travel to assigned schools as needed, supporting students in diverse elementary and secondary environments
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with California regulations
