Location: Plainfield CCSD 202 Plainfield, IL School: Plainfield Academy (Alternative School) Start Date: Beginning of the 20252026 school year End Date: Through at least early November Hours: 7:45 AM start time | Full-Time | Onsite Only Position Overview: Plainfield CCSD 202 is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to support students at Plainfield Academy, our alternative school. The primary focus of this role will be facilitating therapeutic referrals and providing social-emotional support to students in need. Key Responsibilities: Conduct student assessments and develop support plans Coordinate and make therapeutic referrals for students Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to address student needs Maintain accurate documentation and reports Support a positive, inclusive school environment for all learners Qualifications: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement Experience in a school or alternative education setting preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Commitment to supporting diverse student populations Compensation for this position ranges from $26.00 to $65.00.
