You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of educators, mental health professionals, and administrative staff to ensure that students receive holistic support for their behavioral health needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of the counseling needs of students, providing individual and group therapy sessions tailored to their specific circumstances.

• Evaluate clients for substance use diagnoses using the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria, establishing the appropriate level of care based on ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) guidelines.

• Develop and implement the substance abuse counseling component of individualized treatment plans, ensuring relevant and measurable goals.
\n
• Design comprehensive discharge and continuum of care plans to facilitate a smooth transition to necessary levels of ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all counseling services, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and referrals within the clinical record system.

• Manage a diverse client caseload effectively, performing case management duties and maintaining communication regarding updates and treatment planning.
\n
• Coordinate support services for students and their families, ensuring access to needed resources and accurately recording the services provided in clinical documentation.

• Partner with referral sources such as schools, employers, and legal entities to enhance support networks for clients.
\n
• Utilize a multi-disciplinary approach to facilitate interventions for crisis-oriented issues, collaborating closely with fellow clinicians.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily work with students experiencing a range of challenges that can affect their academic and social functioning, including behavioral health issues, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. Your role will be significant in creating a supportive atmosphere that promotes healing and recovery, aiming to help students navigate their challenges successfully.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois is required.

• Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Experience\n
