Acute Care Operating Room RN

Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic acute care environment. This role emphasizes best practices, relationship-based care, and adherence to professional nursing standards. The nursing care approach aligns with the ANA Code of Ethics, state nursing practice acts, and regulatory standards, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. Essential Responsibilities:
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the relevant state. Work Environment: Day shift position within a regional healthcare facility serving the Midwest region of the United States.
- Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
- Apply clinical expertise to make appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and technical needs.
- Engage in continuous learning and apply evidence-based practices to enhance workplace performance.
- Deliver excellent patient and visitor relations, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
- Communicate proactively with patients and healthcare teams to manage expectations and ensure a positive care experience.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and programs.
- Prioritize safety for patients, guests, and staff by adhering to national safety standards, HIPAA, and Just Culture principles.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, including certifications, advanced degrees, and leadership roles.
- Foster teamwork by motivating and guiding colleagues, encouraging cooperation, and providing mentorship.
- Comply with organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent with at least five years of acute care experience if non-accredited.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in accelerated MSN programs accepted.
- Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications.
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the relevant state. Work Environment: Day shift position within a regional healthcare facility serving the Midwest region of the United States.
