Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations that encompass review of medical history, physical assessments, and necessary diagnostics.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans grounded in clinical evidence and tailored to patient presentations.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques in your treatment approach, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities as needed.
• Document patient progress comprehensively, including focused evaluations, goal setting, daily encounter notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams to discuss patient care strategies and modifications to treatment plans based on evolving conditions.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients and their families, providing education on treatment goals, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies.
• Stay informed about advancements in the field of physical therapy, integrating new techniques and best practices into your work.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and facility training sessions, contributing to a culture of learning and shared knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients who are navigating recovery from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and musculoskeletal issues. This includes athletes seeking to return to peak performance, elderly individuals recovering from joint replacements, and adults managing chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in promoting their rehabilitation and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Familiarity with advanced rehabilitation techniques, patient-centered care approaches, and a commitment to continuous professional development will be highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
