Active Life PT is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team within our rehabilitation facility in Charlottesville, Virginia. This full-time role focuses on providing transformative outpatient physical therapy services designed to restore mobility, enhance physical function, and improve quality of life for our patients. Work Environment

You will work onsite in our advanced sports medicine facility, which is fully equipped with innovative rehabilitation technology and resources. The facility fosters an inclusive environment that promotes collaboration among healthcare professionals. Our typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a healthy work-life balance while allowing you to focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of new patients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their recovery goals.
• Implement and adapt treatment approaches based on patient progress, ensuring an evidence-based delivery of care.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities for pain relief to enhance patient mobility.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, allowing for personalized attention and quality interaction with each patient.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
• Educate patients regarding their conditions and empower them with strategies to promote recovery and prevent future injuries.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.
• Continually evaluate physical therapy interventions and adjust strategies as necessary to optimize results.
• Promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle by designing tailored fitness and wellness programs that address individual patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In our facility, you will work with a diverse population of patients, ranging from post-operative care to those recovering from sports-related injuries, chronic pain conditions, and orthopedic issues. Your expertise will be pivotal in supporting their recovery journeys, enhancing their physical function, and contributing to their overall health and well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription tailored to patient-specific needs.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to encourage and motivate patients.
• Proficiency in EMR software, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation and enhance care delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting with a history of fostering strong patient outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute successful therapeutic exercise programs to promote patient recovery.
• A commitment to remaining informed about the latest developments and research in physical therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
