Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including analysis of medical history and performance of targeted assessments, to design individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, ensuring alignment and participation in goal-setting.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols and adjust them based on patient progress and evolving healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, documenting changes in patient conditions and recommending modifications to treatment as needed.
• Manage discharge planning processes and ensure timely, accurate documentation of patient care activities, maintaining a clear record of patient progress from initial evaluation through discharge.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills by adhering to productivity expectations and maintaining an organized schedule for patient appointments.
• Engage in departmental initiatives aimed at improving patient access and quality of care, including participation in community outreach and marketing activities.
• Commit to ongoing professional education and mentorship, providing guidance to students and peers to foster a culture of learning and growth within the organization.
• Enhance customer experience by being adaptable and responsive to patient needs, thus ensuring access to quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient therapy for a diverse range of individuals dealing with musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and other physical ailments. Through personalized assessments and tailored treatment strategies, you will help patients regain mobility, improve functionality, and achieve their health goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advances in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, although recent graduates with a DPT may be considered if they demonstrate a strong passion for patient care and professional development.
