Work Environment

Located in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia, a city known for its vibrant community and supportive environment for health professionals, our rehabilitation facility provides a state-of-the-art setting for physical therapy. Our onsite team operates Monday to Friday, with working hours from either 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, which allows for a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic illnesses within the outpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques such as hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the use of specialized equipment.
• Regularly assess patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal recovery and mobility enhancement.
• Document patient treatment protocols meticulously to comply with organizational policies while providing clear communication to healthcare team members regarding patient progress and any necessary adjustments in care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes, assistive devices, and home exercise programs to promote continued improvement outside of therapy sessions.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in workshops, reviewing current literature, and collaborating with colleagues to remain informed about advancements in the field of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid state license is required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
