Work Environment

Located in the vibrant Charlottesville community, our outpatient office is equipped with the latest therapy tools and technologies to support effective patient care. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valleywise, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of referred patients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, goals, and conditions.
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions based on patient progress and clinical evidence, focusing on enhancing mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Provide a variety of specialized treatments, ensuring the highest quality of care for patients across different practice areas such as orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on therapeutic techniques and exercise regimens to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Monitor the progress of patients regularly, ensuring they meet established clinical and utilization goals, while maintaining a strong focus on patient satisfaction and outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, sharing insights and strategies to deliver comprehensive and cohesive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, as recognized by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant practice setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety and compliance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

Experience in outpatient physical therapy, particularly in settings focusing on evidence-based treatment protocols, will be advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and innovative rehabilitation tools is desirable, as this will enhance your efficiency in providing care. Demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients and stakeholders within the community will be key to your success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
