Work Environment

This role is onsite, allowing you to engage directly with patients in a nurturing, collaborative atmosphere. The practice is situated in a picturesque area of Charlottesville, providing a pleasant backdrop for both staff and patients. Our home care facility is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology to facilitate effective recovery plans and enhance therapeutic interactions. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent structure to support work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient goals and develop personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, providing focused and dedicated therapeutic interventions.
• Implement various therapeutic methods, including manual therapy and exercise protocols, tailored to individual patient needs.
• Encourage patients throughout their treatment process, motivating them to achieve their maximum functional potential.
• Document patient evaluations, treatments provided, and progress meticulously to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation protocols, safety measures, and injury prevention strategies.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice predominantly serves a diverse clientele who have undergone orthopedic surgeries, sustained sports-related injuries, or experience chronic pain conditions. We emphasize individualized care strategies aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and overall health. Our focus on orthopedic rehabilitation ensures that we address the unique needs of each patient, helping them to regain function and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Virginia license as a Physical Therapist must be maintained.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against the license is mandatory.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and strong ability to develop exercise protocols that meet diverse patient needs.
• Experience with EMR software, especially WebPT, is essential.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
