Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care to each patient, tailoring treatment plans to their specific goals and health conditions.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload, ensuring quality interaction and thorough support throughout each session.
• Demonstrate expertise in orthopedic outpatient care and therapeutic techniques developed from a minimum of two years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to implement effective treatment strategies that promote recovery and mobility enhancement.
• Develop detailed care plans involving various modalities, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, that address patients' unique challenges and objectives.
• Encourage patients to embrace non-surgical alternatives and educate them on efficient strategies to improve their physical health without over-reliance on medications.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through personalized fitness programs.
• Continuously assess, evaluate, and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure integrative patient care across services and disciplines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, or chronic pain issues. Your skills will be crucial in assisting patients of various ages to regain mobility and independence, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals through personalized and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license for the state of Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board actions.
• Proficiency in multiple manual therapy techniques.
• Ability to effectively use electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for accurate documentation.
• A solid understanding of the latest physical therapy techniques and practices supported by current research.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
