Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office. Our work environment is warm and welcoming, facilitating a supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients. You will have the opportunity to work alongside two experienced physical therapists, sharing knowledge and techniques to enhance overall patient care. With a flexible schedule, our team operates from Monday to Friday between 9 AM to 5 PM, which encourages a balance between professional commitments and personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one evaluations and develop customized treatment plans aimed at meeting patients' specific goals and needs.
• Engage patients in their rehabilitation by providing effective, evidence-based therapy, with one patient seen every 40 minutes.
• Utilize various treatment modalities to improve patients' mobility and reduce dependency on medications or surgeries.
• Design and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs, enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, and balance.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their recovery journey, ensuring they understand their treatment process and goals.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting care plans as necessary based on outcomes and feedback.
• Document patient interactions and treatment sessions accurately using our EMR system, Athena Health, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care, consult with physicians, and share best practices in rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our office primarily serves patients within the commercial insurance and private pay sectors. The diverse clientele includes athletes aiming to maximize their performance, as well as individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries. Our physical therapists are skilled in adapting to the specific needs of each patient, ensuring a tailored approach that enhances rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid Virginia State license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with patients of various backgrounds.
• Up-to-date knowledge of innovative treatment practices in physical therapy.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Demonstrated ability to provide personalized care to patients with diverse needs.
• Experience using electronic medical record systems, specifically Athena Health, is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
