Essential Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation center team in Charlottesville, Virginia. Work Environment

Located in the beautiful city of Charlottesville, our rehabilitation center is dedicated to outpatient care. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a structured environment that allows therapists to focus on their patients without the added stress of on-call duties or weekend work. With a patient-centered approach at the core of our operations, our team collaborates effectively to ensure the highest quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's unique goals and needs.
• Manage and maintain an appropriate caseload to ensure quality interactions and optimal patient care.
• Demonstrate expertise in orthopedic outpatient care, utilizing evidence-based practices to guide interventions.
• Implement cost-effective strategies to enhance patients' functionality and mobility.
• Emphasize non-invasive treatment options, reducing reliance on medications and promoting holistic health.
• Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to the specific requirements of patients.
• Create personalized fitness and wellness programs that aim to improve strength, balance, and overall physical condition.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of services provided through EMR software, particularly Web PT, to ensure accurate record-keeping and treatment history.
• Foster motivation and provide encouragement throughout each patient's rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on outpatient orthopedic patients, ranging from post-surgical clients to individuals seeking rehabilitation from sports injuries or chronic pain. We aim to cater to each client's unique experiences and requirements, recognizing the individual journey of each patient while emphasizing evidence-based treatments that foster recovery and improvement in everyday functions.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia with no history of sanctions or board actions.
• Strong background in orthopedic care with mastery of various manual therapy modalities.
• A proven track record of creating and implementing effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Proficient in utilizing EMR systems, especially Web PT, for accurate documentation and patient tracking.
• Committed to staying current with research and advancements in physical therapy techniques.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic clinic.
• A history of applying innovative strategies for patient engagement and motivation.

Compensation and Benefits
