Work Environment

Our full-time therapists work a Monday to Friday schedule, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced lifestyle while providing the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and establish tailored treatment plans based on their unique goals and requirements.
• Provide one-on-one therapeutic sessions that emphasize improving motion, mobility, and overall physical wellness.
• Utilize a combination of manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery and improved functionality.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and progress comprehensively, maintaining accurate records to support continuity of care.
• Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care, enhancing communication and teamwork.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to encourage active involvement in their recovery.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patients are motivated to improve their quality of life, which allows you to play a transformative role in their recovery process. You will utilize specialized techniques and evidence-based approaches to cater to each patient's specific recovery requirements, providing a holistic approach to their rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure you possess the advanced knowledge needed for effective patient care.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings, is essential for this role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of manual therapy modalities and the ability to execute successful exercise programs are prerequisites.
• Proficiency in EMR software, especially with platforms like Web PT, is necessary for accurate patient documentation.
• Staying current with the latest physical therapy techniques and research-backed methods is crucial for improved patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with the patient demographic and treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated success in developing individualized exercise regimens and treatment plans boosts your candidacy for this position.
• Previous experience working in a collaborative healthcare environment is advantageous, facilitating strong interdisciplinary communication.

Compensation and Benefits

Joint Medcare offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
