Physio Recovery Center, strategically located in the heart of Charlottesville, Virginia, is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our team full-time. In this role, you will partner with patients on their journey to recovery, focusing on restoring motion and enhancing their quality of life. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve their personal best through tailored interventions that encompass promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

At Physio Recovery Center, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional rehabilitation services within a state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot facility specializing in sports medicine. Our commitment is to deliver high-quality care through evidence-based practices, ensuring that patients receive individualized treatment that meets their unique needs. We primarily accept private medical insurance, which allows us to focus on personalized care for our clients. Our dedicated team is composed of highly skilled professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all passionate about patient recovery.

Work Environment

This position is onsite, fostering a collaborative environment where teamwork is emphasized. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable work schedule that promotes work-life balance. Our facility is designed for optimal patient engagement, featuring advanced rehabilitation equipment and treatment modalities to enhance recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' goals and needs through comprehensive evaluations and consultation.
• Manage a patient caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring personalized attention and care.
• Utilize your orthopedic outpatient experience to develop effective and individualized treatment plans.
• Implement a range of treatment techniques aimed at improving patient motion and mobility, while minimizing reliance on medications.
• Design and create fitness and wellness programs tailored to enhance patient specific lifestyle goals.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment process to optimize recovery and functionality.
• Collaborate with other health professionals within the facility, promoting a cohesive treatment strategy.
• Document patient progress meticulously and communicate changes in their treatment plan effectively.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust treatments as necessary, ensuring patients meet their rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists of individuals dealing with various orthopedic conditions, whether post-operative or from sports-related injuries and chronic pain. You will engage with patients across a range of ages and physical capabilities, focusing on restoring movement and enhancing daily functional abilities. The clinic's patient-centered approach emphasizes empathy and individualized support, creating a nurturing atmosphere for recovery.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist License in Virginia, free from any board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Strong manual therapy skills, demonstrating a broad range of techniques to support patient recovery.
• Proficient in exercise prescription, tailoring regimens specific to each patient's capabilities and needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Experience with various treatment modalities and techniques applicable to muscle recovery, strength building, and overall mobility enhancement.
• Background in working with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
