Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions and functional abilities, ensuring that their unique goals and challenges are understood.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient, incorporating various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Manage a manageable patient load effectively, dedicating time to research best practices and create precise rehabilitation strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and cost-effective treatment options to enhance patients' mobility and function while integrating non-surgical approaches to minimize medication dependence.
• Monitor and document patients' progress through a thorough evaluation of treatment effects, adjusting care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
• Provide education to patients and their families about physical therapy processes, exercises, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term wellness.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, celebrating achievements and addressing any challenges they may encounter.
• Collaborate actively with other healthcare professionals—including physicians, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers—to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an outpatient Physical Therapist at Cora, you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of athletes, active individuals recovering from injuries, and those needing rehabilitation from surgeries. Each patient will present unique challenges, requiring you to apply your knowledge and skills to encourage recovery and support their rehab journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Possession of an active, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board actions.
• Demonstrated expertise in various manual therapy modalities and the development of successful exercise programs.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for documentation and patient record management.
• A commitment to staying current with the latest advancements and research in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient clinics or rehabilitation settings, particularly focused on orthopedic care.
• Strong skill in creating patient-centric therapeutic regimes, particularly for individuals recovering from sports injuries.
• Experience with motivational coaching and techniques to enhance patient engagement and adherence to rehabilitation protocols.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
