Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations by reviewing patient histories, performing assessments, and formulating comprehensive treatment plans based on specific findings.
• Effectively communicate evaluation results and treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring that they are part of the goal-setting process.
• Implement treatment protocols rooted in evidence-based practices, adapting to the individual needs of patients as well as changes within the healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and document any changes in patient conditions that necessitate a modification of treatment strategies.
• Oversee discharge planning and follow-up processes, meticulously documenting patient interactions and progress throughout their care journey.
• Manage time efficiently to meet productivity expectations while ensuring an accurate and organized patient schedule.
• Engage in department initiatives aimed at improving patient access to care and participate in marketing activities that promote our services within the community.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities to enhance personal competency and contribute to departmental growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Pathways, you will work primarily with outpatient clients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative procedures, and other rehabilitative challenges. Our patients come from a variety of backgrounds and may range from children to seniors, requiring tailored treatment approaches that respect their unique circumstances and goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
• Dedication to maintaining a positive and productive team environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred but not required.
• Experience working in outpatient rehabilitation is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
