Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and maintain detailed documentation throughout the therapy process, from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral health to assess their needs and inform treatment approaches.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that each plan aligns with best practice guidelines.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster patient engagement and healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress through regular assessment and modification of treatment plans as necessary, ensuring ongoing effectiveness.
\n
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including other counselors, physicians, and health professionals, to create cohesive care strategies.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients admitted to the hospital to ensure continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and develop strategies to mitigate these challenges, providing resources and support as needed.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers by equipping them with tools and knowledge to better support their loved ones' mental health journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client community comprises individuals and families facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse disorders. As a counselor at Ridgeview, you will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and cultural contexts.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a solid understanding of therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for efficient case management.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on conveying complex information clearly and compassionately.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine empathetic disposition towards clients.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience addressing complex mental and emotional health issues, including addiction disorders and co-occurring conditions.

• Knowledge of the pharmacological treatments utilized in mental health care and how they may affect patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience, alongside a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
