Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Down East Care, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of each patient, tailoring treatment plans based on specific needs and physician referrals.
• Implement individualized treatment protocols that encompass a wide range of specialties, including orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine.
• Deliver expert therapeutic care to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to facilitate recovery.
• Engage actively with patients, demonstrating exceptional customer service while fostering an environment of trust and encouragement.
• Collaborate closely with fellow healthcare professionals to monitor and enhance the effectiveness of treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will place you in contact with a diverse patient demographic ranging from children to elderly individuals, each requiring unique therapeutic interventions. You will be responsible for working with various conditions, including complex orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative recovery cases. This variety ensures that your daily tasks are both stimulating and rewarding as you help patients regain functional abilities and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient in computer usage for documentation, reporting, and communication.

Preferred Experience
