Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our patients' homes throughout the Sarasota area. You will have the flexibility to work with patients in their home environments, allowing you to gain insights into their daily lives and tailor your therapeutic approaches accordingly. Our practice focuses on one-on-one patient interactions, offering an intimate and focused setting for recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments by observing patients' movements and physical behaviors to identify their rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans, incorporating exercise regimens, mobility exercises, and pain management techniques.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities including manual therapy, stretching techniques, and patient education to enhance healing and recovery.
• Guide patients in the correct use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, and orthopedic braces, ensuring safety and improving independence.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about recovery expectations, in-home exercises, and lifestyle modifications to prevent future injuries.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements and sports injuries, as well as those managing chronic pain or recovering from acute injuries. You will work closely with a diverse demographic, tailoring your communication and treatment styles to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required for this position.
• Strong foundational knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, necessary for educating and motivating patients and their families.
• A keen ability to observe, analyze, and adapt therapeutic techniques based on individual patient responses.
• Ability to manage diverse personalities and adaptability in approach to care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient or home care setting is preferred.
• Experience in developing customized treatment plans and implementing therapeutic exercises.
• Background in using modern treatment methodologies and tools that improve patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes:
