Fit Movement Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a dedicated, full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in restoring movement and enhancing the quality of life for our patients. This position involves providing on-site physical therapy services primarily in a home care setting, where you will work directly with patients to develop and implement personalized rehab and wellness programs.

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic, as the majority of patient interactions occur at their residences, enabling us to provide care in the comfort of their own homes. Every day, you will have the opportunity to engage with patients in a more personal setting, allowing for meaningful connections and tailored strategies that fit their individual circumstances. Operating within a full-time schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will have the structure to balance your professional responsibilities while making a significant impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify objectives and treatment needs.
• Craft and implement individualized treatment plans focused on achieving personal mobility goals.
• Manage an average caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring thorough attention to each case.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and exercise protocols, to foster rehabilitation.
• Guide patients in non-surgical options and lifestyle modifications that decrease reliance on medications.
• Document patient interactions and progress accurately using our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
• Encourage patients in adopting healthy habits that improve their strength, flexibility, balance, and overall function.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily comprises individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Many of our patients are covered by private medical insurance, which allows us to focus on providing high-quality treatment without the constraints often found in larger healthcare systems. We value each patient relationship, tailoring our approach to meet their unique needs and circumstances.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current and valid Florida state license as a Physical Therapist.
• Clean professional record with no disciplinary history or board actions against your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience with diverse exercise programs.
• Strong familiarity with WebPT EMR software is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, showcasing a solid understanding of treatment modalities for various conditions.
• A background that reflects success in developing and executing customized rehabilitation and fitness regimes.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
