Position Overview

Superior Core Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. This full-time, onsite position is designed for an individual who is passionate about guiding patients in their recovery journey, focusing on restoring their mobility and enhancing their overall quality of life. You will be expected to develop individualized treatment plans, perform hands-on manual therapy, and use advanced rehabilitation techniques to facilitate recovery in an orthopedic outpatient setting.

Work Environment

The work environment at our Sarasota facility is dynamic and patient-focused. Our rehabilitation center features a spacious, modern layout encompassing 5,000 square feet dedicated to sports medicine, therapy modalities, and fitness programs. You'll collaborate closely with two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) to ensure effective patient care. Our weekday schedule is designed to promote work-life balance, with hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing you to provide consistent care and foster long-term relationships with your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' functional capabilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans with specific goals, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Manage a diverse caseload with efficient patient scheduling, ensuring that you treat one individual per hour.
• Utilize a range of treatment modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Provide ongoing assessments of treatment effectiveness, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress.
• Communicate regularly with patients about their treatment plans and motivate them towards achieving their rehabilitation goals.
• Document patient care services accurately and thoroughly, utilizing WebPT EMR software for record-keeping.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient population includes individuals seeking rehabilitation for various orthopedic conditions, such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. We primarily serve patients with private medical insurance, emphasizing individualized care and effective treatment strategies. Our goal is to minimize reliance on medications and explore non-surgical options, empowering patients to take control of their health.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possession of a valid Florida license as a Physical Therapist is mandatory.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, specifically WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy setting is highly valued.
• Demonstrated success in implementing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
