Work Environment

This position operates onsite, primarily within our home care service model. As a Physical Therapist, you will travel to patients' homes in the Sarasota area, providing personalized therapy sessions in a comfortable and familiar context. You will enjoy a Monday to Friday work schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. Working in this adaptive setting grants you the flexibility to develop customized treatment plans that address the individual needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary focus will be to:

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine patients' needs and set achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour to ensure personalized attention and effective therapy interventions.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans employing a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to individual patient needs.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise programming to enhance patients' range of motion and mobility while minimizing reliance on medication.
• Document all patient interactions accurately, track progress, and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Provide education and motivation to patients through their treatment processes, fostering independence and increasing engagement.
• Develop individualized fitness and wellness plans aimed at improving physical fitness, balance, strength, and coordination.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize the treatment approach and share updates on patient progress and care.
• Conduct regular evaluations of treatment efficacy and make necessary adjustments as required to meet patient objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will largely focus on orthopedic patients experiencing musculoskeletal issues such as post-surgical recovery, injury rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will be instrumental in facilitating their recovery and empowering them to reclaim their mobility and functionality in daily life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with a license to practice in Florida.
• A strong understanding of orthopedic physical therapy principles, demonstrated by effective treatment delivery.
• No prior records of board or disciplinary actions concerning your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to create personalized exercise programs.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings. The ability to develop effective communication strategies with patients and their families is essential, as well as proficiency in evidence-based practices to support decision-making in patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
