Cayanan Physical Therapy Center is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our home care team in beautiful Sarasota, Florida. Work Environment

This position is predominantly based in home settings across Sarasota, allowing you to interact with patients in their own environments. In this role, you will utilize the latest physical therapy techniques and tools to provide care tailored to the individual needs of patients, ensuring each treatment session is effective and focused on achieving desired outcomes. Working hours are set from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, providing work-life balance while serving our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations upon intake and throughout the treatment process.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with patient goals, utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques and tailored exercise programs.
• Maintain an appropriate caseload to ensure high-quality patient interactions, offering attentive support and assessment of progress.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment options, expected outcomes, and strategies for injury prevention.
• Incorporate evidence-based interventions into practice, continuously monitoring and adjusting care plans based on patients' progress.
• Collaborate closely with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) software effectively, particularly WebPT, to maintain precise documentation and monitor treatment history.
• Engage in continuous education and professional development to stay current with innovations in physical therapy practices.
• Encourage active participation from patients in their own recovery process, motivating them through challenges encountered along the way.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or conditions that affect mobility and functional capacity. By addressing their specific therapeutic needs, you will contribute to significant improvements in their overall physical health, comfort, and ability to engage in daily activities. As you work with patients in their homes, you'll gain unique insights into their lifestyles, which will enhance the effectiveness of your treatment plans.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida with a clean record, free of sanctions or board actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to design effective exercise programs.
• Experience utilizing EMR systems, specifically WebPT, for managing patient data and treatment documentation.
• A commitment to using evidence-based practices and staying informed on recent research in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a home care or outpatient clinic setting preferred, demonstrating the ability to effectively manage patient care in varied environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic therapies, with a profound understanding of rehabilitation techniques.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
