Work Environment

The therapist will work onsite at our outpatient office in Sarasota, Florida, within a collaborative and energetic environment that thrives on teamwork and commitment to patient success. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, with a structured 40-hour work week. In this role, you will be supported by a team of skilled professionals who share a common goal of maximizing patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to establish individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
• Utilize innovative therapeutic techniques and exercises to promote recovery while addressing specific needs of each patient.
• Deliver care across a spectrum of specialties, including orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service and contribute to a welcoming and effective treatment environment.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to continuously enhance patient care strategies.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on treatment methodologies and home exercise regimens to facilitate ongoing recovery.
• Meet established utilization targets and contribute to the organization's business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will provide services primarily to a diverse range of patients recovering from injuries or managing chronic conditions. You will encounter individuals from various backgrounds, requiring a tailored approach to each treatment plan. Whether addressing the unique challenges of pediatric patients or the complex needs of adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, your expertise will be essential in helping patients regain their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA- or CAPTE-approved program; Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy, alongside a Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with patients.
• Proficient in computer applications and word processing to manage patient records and documentation.
• A strong desire to build positive relationships with patients and support them in exceeding their functional goals.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years' experience as a Physical Therapist, with a focus on outpatient settings.
• Experience in developing and implementing customized treatment programs using evidence-based practices.
• Current CPR certification is required.
