Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, delivering care in home environments across Sarasota. Our therapists work flexible schedules to accommodate patient needs, typically Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 7 PM and shorter shifts on Fridays. You will be part of a collaborative team that emphasizes patient-centered care and values open communication, ensuring that each therapist feels supported and empowered in their role.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of injuries, diseases, and disabilities using evidence-based physical therapy modalities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessment findings, ensuring each plan includes specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers, providing crucial information on exercises, pain management strategies, and health maintenance techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records according to regulatory, facility, and departmental standards to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and collaborate with physical therapy assistants and aides to deliver comprehensive patient care, maintaining high standards of service.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Engage in continual professional development by attending workshops, training sessions, and remaining current with advancements in physical therapy practices.
• Assist in operational tasks such as scheduling, supply management, and budget oversight to support department goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Flex Fitness serves a broad range of patients, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. Our therapists utilize a person-centered approach to tailor interventions according to the unique needs of each patient, ensuring optimal recovery and enhanced quality of life.

Qualifications

• A current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program; a master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with familiarity in home care services.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse patient populations, with specific skills relevant to the unique challenges of home care environments.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits
