Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in conducting detailed evaluations of patients' physical capabilities to inform customized treatment plans.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional status.
• Provide direct patient care through hands-on manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and the use of various modalities for musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care efforts and sharing patient progress, ensuring comprehensive treatment.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise regimens, the use of adaptive equipment, and strategies for preventing injuries.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment progress, interventions, and discharge recommendations, ensuring compliance with all clinical guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with the latest practices in orthopedic rehabilitation and seeking opportunities for additional certifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from a CAPTE-Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Must possess a valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license and an Associate of Arts or Science degree in Physical Therapy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting.

Compensation and Benefits
