SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant assists the Chief Financial Officer with financial recordkeeping and reporting while also managing Finance & Administrative tasks. This position will manage tasks related to payroll, benefits, and accounts receivable, as well as annual projects such as tax forms, audits, and budget work.


JOB DESCRIPTION
• Direct Report: Finance & Office Administrator
• Creating and producing financial reports for the CFO and Board to review
• Creating and monitoring all tax filings for vendors/contractors on an annual, quarterly, or monthly basis
• Weekly accounts payable ACH and wire transfer transactions
• Bi-Weekly Payroll processing and entry on G/L
• Accounts receivable
• Rental deposit and settlement tracking
• Monthly account reconciliation with department heads
• Annual budget work
• Annual audit processing and PBC work
• Documentation of all finance procedures
• Ensuring internal controls are in place and active
• Financial reporting and budgeting to support fundraising and grant reports
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency in Blackbaud Financial Edge is required
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience is preferred
• Ability to handle tax filings and withholdings for independent contractors is required
• A high degree of comfort interacting with other Departments and Board Members
• Nonprofit experience and familiarity with an Arts environment is a plus
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Time management skills and proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
