Life Carriage Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated Full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor, including candidates with LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW credentials. Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, offering a flexible yet structured work setting. Our therapists can expect to serve clients Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand patients' unique situations and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adapting these methodologies to fit the cultural and personal backgrounds of each individual patient.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address a wide range of mental health issues and foster resilience and personal growth.

• Collaborate regularly with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies, ensuring that all clients feel supported and safe.

• Educate patients and their family members about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and resources in the community to enhance their understanding and coping strategies.

• Maintain detailed and confidential patient documentation according to ethical and legal standards.

• Actively participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance service delivery and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license (LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW) to practice in the state of Illinois.

• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment techniques, with a strong emphasis on cultural competence.

• Experience providing therapy in both individual and group settings, employing culturally responsive approaches.

• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills and the capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

• Superb interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong rapport with a diverse clientele.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications to facilitate efficient documentation and communication.

• A commitment to ethical practices, maintaining professional boundaries, and ensuring the confidentiality of all patient information.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
