Work Environment\n

As a fully remote role, our Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist position offers flexibility while connecting with clients in their home environments. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team, all while using state-of-the-art telehealth platforms that facilitate effective communication and therapeutic engagement. This role allows for a tailored approach to therapy, based on individual family dynamics and needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions remotely, providing tailored support to address specific behavioral and emotional challenges.

• Engage in group therapy sessions at our outpatient center for youth, helping to foster social skills and emotional resilience.
\n
• Implement strategies for anger management and help clients develop coping and social skills to mitigate high-risk behaviors.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team, including case managers, educators, and medical professionals, to ensure coordinated support for clients.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to organizational policies.
\n
• Participate in monthly case review meetings to share insights, discuss recommendations, and enhance service delivery strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 with various developmental and intellectual disabilities, fostering their emotional and behavioral well-being. The therapist will work closely with primary caregivers, providing them with guidance and strategies to effectively manage behavioral challenges at home. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is essential.

• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with some weekend availability considered advantageous.

• Proven expertise in positive behavior support techniques is necessary.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for potential in-home visits.
\n
• A successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working with children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.

• Background in crisis intervention and behavior management strategies will be an asset.

• Experience in bilingual therapy, particularly in Spanish or Portuguese, is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
