Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to children and families, either in-home or via teletherapy, focusing on addressing emotional and behavioral challenges.
\n
• Design and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances, targeting crucial areas such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based practices to minimize high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, while promoting healthier coping mechanisms.
\n
• Work closely with caregivers to enhance their decision-making skills and equip them to manage in-home behavioral issues effectively.
\n
• Document all treatment-related activities accurately and in a timely manner, including intake assessments, progress notes, and treatment plan evaluations.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings and contribute insights and recommendations to improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily supports children aged 3 to 20 who may be facing developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). As a therapist, you will work with a culturally diverse population, and bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese are highly valued. Your expertise will help bridge the gap for families seeking support and guidance in navigating challenges associated with their children's needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Pennsylvania is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM), with weekend flexibility as a plus.

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for traveling to client appointments are essential.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required before starting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working with children and teenagers, especially those with intellectual/developmental disabilities, is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with providing Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) strategies in therapeutic settings is an asset.

• Experience working with families in diverse communities will enhance the overall effectiveness of our service delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
