Position Overview

Vita Flex Therapeutics is actively seeking an experienced and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at our rehabilitation facility located in East Amherst, New York. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in patients' lives by delivering high-level care and participating in their rehabilitation journey. The selected candidate will receive an annual salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, ensuring they understand proper techniques and progression for effective rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and their families on body mechanics, exercise programs, and self-management strategies to promote long-term health and prevent re-injury.
• Administer modalities under supervision, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy to enhance patient recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress systematically, utilizing tools and methodologies to track improvements in range of motion and overall physical ability.
• Prepare treatment spaces and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and organized working environment for patient sessions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care and outcomes, sharing insights and strategies during team meetings.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement, fostering a positive and motivating environment that enhances patient engagement in their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain compliance with ethical and professional standards while respecting patient confidentiality and rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Vita Flex Therapeutics, you will work with a diverse patient population encompassing various age groups and physiotherapeutic needs. Our patients range from pediatric individuals recovering from sports injuries to elderly clients rehabilitating from surgical procedures. Each treatment plan is customized, ensuring that our approach is relevant to the specific challenges and goals of each patient.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting, ideally within a rehabilitation facility.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient care management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in a rehabilitation facility focusing on a range of services is highly preferred.
• Experience with specialized populations such as geriatric, pediatric, and sports rehabilitation.
