Cherish Care Wellness is seeking a dedicated full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our compassionate team in East Amherst, New York. Work Environment

Our assisted living facility provides an onsite work setting that enables pediatric nurse practitioners to closely engage with patients in a family-oriented atmosphere. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose conditions, and collaboratively plan and implement medical care alongside our experienced physician staff.
• Utilize your full scope of licensure to take responsibility for the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of individualized patient care.
• Provide direct patient services, including examinations, treatment options, and follow-up, to ensure optimal health outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on various health topics, fostering an inclusive family care approach to healthcare.
• Maintain accurate patient records and utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for effective management of patient information.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about advancements in pediatric nursing and best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Adhere to the policies and regulations outlined by relevant medical boards and the State of New York Nurse Practice Act.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily provide care to pediatric patients in our assisted living facility, a unique environment that includes children with a variety of health challenges. Your work will focus on delivering holistic care, addressing both physical and emotional needs, while also considering family dynamics and social factors that may affect patient well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, with a Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a specialization in pediatrics (CPNP preferred).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and any additional certifications required for our pediatric department.

Preferred Experience

• At least 5 years of recent, relevant experience in pediatric nursing or a related specialty.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pediatric care best practices and experience in a pediatric outpatient or assisted living setting preferred.
